Willian was the hero for Chelsea as the Blues secured a much-needed victory against a stubborn Dynamo Kiev.

An own-goal from Aleksandar Dragovic gave Chelsea the lead at Stamford Bridge before the Kiev defender made amends late on.

However, Chelsea snatched all three points when Willian curled home an unstoppable free-kick in the closing stages to relieve some pressure on boss Jose Mourinho and give Chelsea a much needed advantage in Group G.

The Special One’s name rang out repeatedly during the first half, before and after the Blues took the lead.

The Matthew Harding stand let the the chorus, and the whole of the Bridge stood up in applause of the Portugeese.

A visibly moved Mourinho acknowledged the support with a shy wave.

It was a clear message from the Chelsea faithful to Roman Abramovich that they still believe they have the best man for the job in place.

While Jose Mourinho is under the cosh from the media and the FA, it is clear that the charismatic, self proclaimed happy one, can do no wrong by Blue fans.
