Nathan Ake has today signed for Bournemouth from Chelsea for a fee reported to be £20 million.
Nathan Benjamin Aké is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Bournemouth on loan from Chelsea and also plays in the Netherlands national team.
Ake started last season at Bournemouth on loan from Chelsea but was recalled in January. Since returning to Chelsea, he has made five appearances including a start in the FA cup semifinal against Tottenham at Wembley.
“I had a great time last season so I’m really happy to be back . The fan haven’t seen the best of me yet”, was what Ake said after joining Bournemouth.
The departure of Ake is a sign that a central defender will arrive at Stamford Bridge with John Terry also leaving the club after 22 years at the club.
The deal for Ake includes a buy-back clause so fans need not worry about the expense if Chelsea were to buy him back.
