Alvaro Morata promises to prove himself to Chelsea following his move from Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge

Morata became the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window back in July as he signed a five-year deal with the Premier League champions.

Morata has made a relatively strong start to life in the Premier League, after having scored two goals and made two assists for his team-mates in the top flight to help them win two of their opening three games.

Chelsea fans will be hoping to see Morata help to fire the west London club to glory in both the Premier League and Champions League this season.

And the former Real Madrid striker admits that he has plenty of work to do to repay the faith shown in him by Conte and the west London club.

Morata is quoted as saying by the Sun: “Chelsea have made a huge financial effort to sign me. Antonio Conte, the club and the fans all back me to the end.

“I have to make a big impression for them. All I want to prove my worth is the chance to play in five consecutive games.

“I was never able to do this at Real Madrid.”
