Harry Redknapp believes Liverpool’s first choice was Carlo Ancelotti not Jurgen Klopp
Ex-Spurs manager Redknapp made the comments on Talksport when asked about the former Borussia Dortmund manager’s appointment at the Anfield club.
Jurgen Klopp was unveiled on Thursday on a 3 year deal succeeding Brendan Rodgers who was sacked following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
Redknapp said “I think Ancelotti was first choice for the Liverpool job.”
“Was he [Klopp] first choice? He is a good choice.”
“But I don’t know if he was first choice.”
