Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he doesn’t care about Chelsea and will not think any differently of the game this weekend, despite being sacked by the club after spending just nine months in charge.

Spurs host Chelsea at the weekend in a much-anticipated match as AVB prepares to go up against his old-boss Jose Mourinho.

The two worked together during their Porto and Chelsea days, but Boas eventually decided to go into management, instead of being one of Mourinho’s right-hand men.

Speaking ahead of the weekend game, when asked about his thoughts on Chelsea, Villas-Boas replied with: ‘I don’t care about Chelsea, it’s not my responsibility.’

The Portuguese-man was then asked about his relationship with Mourinho and why he decided to leave his counterpart.

‘My relationship professional and personally with him was excellent. Our break up point was because I was full of ambition and wanted further involvement to scouting and match preparation.

‘I felt I could give him more but he didn’t feel the need to have an assistant so we both decided it was time after Inter Milan to change.

‘There is nothing to prove. His career speaks for itself, I am proud of what I have done.

‘The game and the history of both clubs surpasses our achievements. We should be secondary to a spectacular game.

‘This Chelsea team is still being built around Jose’s ideas. It has changed dramatically since he left, but they have technical flair, not so much players from 2004-2007.
