Anfield move for Madrid’s Khedira?

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira as the latest Steven Gerrard replacement.

The influential midfielder is on his way to LA Galaxy in the summer, and Reds’ manager Rodgers is looking for a top European midfielder to fill that void.

Manchester City’s James Milner and Roma’s Miralem Pjanic have also been strongly linked with a move to Anfield.

However, 27-year old Khedira looks to be the prime target as he has rejected the latest contract offer from the European giants Real Madrid.

The Germany international could swap La Liga for the Premier League in the summer, as he is now free to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs abroad.

Liverpool will have to fight off interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Schalke for the 2014 World Cup winner’s signature.
