According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi has turned down a move to Chelsea in order to leave for the Chinese Super League.
The Argentina international is out of contract at the end of the season, and it was believed that the Blues were in talks with the PSG star about moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
However, French newspaper L’Equipe claim that the 30-year old will move to Shanghai Shenhua and will earn up £7.6 million a year.
This news comes despite Chelsea officials allegedly travelling over to France to meet Lavezzi’s representatives during last month’s transfer window.
But now it is the Shanghai based club who will be trying to sort out a deal with the forward before their own transfer deadline 26th February.
