The Blues could revisit their interest in Lazio defender Stefan De Vrij in the January transfer window.
Blues boss Antonio Conte was keen to sign a strong centre-half in the summer but failed in many attempts to lure De Vrij to Stamford Bridge before the season started.

However, The Italian tactician still wants to add another defender to his squad.
Now it is reported that he is eyeing a January move for the Lazio defender, according to Calciomercato.
Lazio are apparently getting a new contract offer ready for the 24-year-old, so a stay could also be on the card, probably the most likely scenario.
A fee of around the £15m might just be enough to tempt them into selling the Netherlands international to the Premier League giants.
