According to the Daily Mail Chelsea are weighing up a transfer move for Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri
The report suggests Antonio Conte is personally looking into bringing the young Brazilian over to Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.
It’s also apparently understood that Conte is on the hunt for more defensive reinforcements , with the Italian keen to bring in competition for Marcos Alonso at wing-back.
Emerson was originally on a one-year loan deal over at Roma, however, he was basically benched most of the time for Lucas Digne in the 2015/16 season.
But not that Digne’s made a £13.8million move to Barcelona, Emerson has made the left-back spot his own at the Stadio Olimpico.
