Boss to axe 5 starters from his team
Antonio Conte is set to sell 5 stars from his Chelsea first team after having crunch talks with Roman Abramovic.
After an initial strong start to the season, Chelsea have begun to stutter and are having increasing problems at the back.
Conte’s side have not won in their last four games and were brutally exposed by the Gunners at the Emirates.
And the Blues boss is apparently planning a clear-out of his squad after holding three successive meetings with owner Roman Abramovich.
It is claimed Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas and Oscar are set to be axed after Conte told Abramovic he needs to rebuild the team starting from January.
Conte admitted Chelsea’s defeat at Arsenal would leave him tossing and turning at night.
“I don’t sleep, sure. I don’t sleep,” he said.
“After this game, this defeat, it’s normal for me not to sleep. Not only one night, but for two nights. When I don’t sleep, I reflect. And it’s important to reflect.
“It is important to take this experience as an opportunity to understand we want to come back very quickly. To fight for something important in England, it is important to improve.”
