For all those mainstream media clowns out there, Conte has ONCE AGAIN stressed that Terry’s place in the side isn’t just a result of “sentiment”.
The Blues prepare to face Manchester United in the quarter-final next month and Conte has been asked for the billionth time about John Terry’s role in the club.
Sorry folks, the mainstream media is a little…slow.
“I want to be very clear,” Conte said
“I’m pleased to give the opportunity but not because there is a sentiment. John Terry is my captain and he’s important on and off the pitch. He played very well. He’s helping me a lot.”
When also asked about the chances of Terry winning a sixth FA Cup at the end of the campaign, Conte added:
“I’d sign now for this! The most important thing is the present — to work and build a good future. Then for sure we will see the situation of every single player.”
