Italian manager will try and land Juventus star if he gets Chelsea job

Antonio Conte wants to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba should he be appointed as the next Chelsea manager.

The Italian head-coach is one of the names reportedly on Roman Abramovich‘s managerial shortlist, along with fellow-countryman Massimiliano Allegri, who is currently the Juve boss.

Allegri has spoken out about his own future already, and despite confirming he’s not thinking about his future just yet, one of his former-coaches has revealed he’s been offered a ‘truly fantastic’ contract by Chelsea.

Conte Wants Pogba

However, should Chelsea choose not to appoint Allegri, they could opt for Conte, and according to reports, he would like to bring Pogba with him to Stamford Bridge.

Conte has already held brief talks with the Chelsea board and is ready to step down from the Italy job after Euro 2016, and it’s believed if he does get offered the Premier League job, he will try and sign Pogba, who the Blues missed out on last summer.

The Italian boss believes he can persuade the 22-year-old to swap Juve for Chelsea due to them working together before he swapped club football for international football.
