Potential new Chelsea boss wants to have face-to-face talks with striker

Antonio Conte is keen to hold face-to-face talks with Chelsea loanee Radamel Falcao, according to reports.

The Colombian has been woeful for the Blues this season, scoring just one Premier League goal in nine games since arriving from AS Monaco on a season-long loan.

Falcao was brought into Chelsea as Jose Mourinho was adamant he could get the best out of the striker, following his disappointing stint at Manchester United, but the Portuguese failed to do so and lost his job in December.

Since then, the striker has been sidelined with an injury and although he’s heavily expected to return to Monaco in the summer, Conte is wanting to have face-to-face talks with him to discuss his future.

The Italian is heavily tipped to take over from Guus Hiddink at the end of the season, with some reports claiming a deal will be announced by the end of March.

Conte To Keep Falcao?

According to reports, Conte was a huge admirer of Falcao during his time as Juventus boss, and he repeatedly tried to sign him but failed to do so.

Despite his poor form in England, Conte could still decide to keep hold of the Colombian, despite the permanent transfer fee being ridiculously expensive.
