Midfielder wanted by Premier League duo

Arsenal and Chelsea are leading the race to sign Juventus’ utility star Kwadwo Asamoah.

The 26-year-old missed the second-half of last season due to a major knee injury, which ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations and Juventus’ road to the Champions League final.

English Interest

However, the Ghana international’s impressive form in his ten appearances at the start of the campaign has led to English giants Arsenal and Chelsea bidding for the utility player, who can play in midfield or at left-back.

The Premier League duo have scouted the former Udinese star for the past two seasons and are lining up bids for the Ghanaian this summer.

However, the pairing could find it difficult to get a deal finalised this summer as Italian giants Juventus do not want to part company with Asamoah – as they feel he’s versatility can come in hand with them having to play so many games next campaign.
