Hull City slap £30m price-tag on full-back

Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa have been stunned by the £30million price tag that Hull City have put on left-back Andy Robertson.

The Tigers have revealed that they want the 21-year-old to stay at the KC Stadium after signing him for just £2.85million from Dundee United last summer.

Hull manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that it will take a big money offer to land the Scotland international.

Bruce Reveals Price-Tag

Bruce said: “Luke Shaw went from Southampton to Manchester United after just one season in the top flight for £30million, and I rate Andy on par with him as a young player with bags of ability and potential.

“We have already had calls from clubs asking to be kept informed about his situation, and it might become inevitable that he goes.

“That would just buy his right leg – and the boy is left-footed!” he added.

Despite injury issues, Robertson featured in 24 games for the Tigers last season but Bruce admits that he thinks the defender can make it to the top.

Bruce Expects Big Season

“Andy wants to do well, keep on improving, and be a top player.

“He’s got all that drive in him and he is already one of the best young players in the country, that’s for sure.” Bruce added.

Tigers winger Robert Snodgrass will work hard in the pre-season training so he can be a main factor in Hull’s bid to get back promoted to the Premier League from the Championship.

Snodgrass, 27, has featured for Bruce’s side since suffering a major knee injury on his league debut last August.

However, things are looking bright for the Scotland international as he has been given the go ahead to take his rehabilitation to the next level before the squad returns for pre-season training.

Hull are convinced that the midfielder will be fit enough to play a vital role in the Championship next campaign.
