Agent admits move in January is possible
Dinamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin could be on the move in January with Arsenal a possible destination, according to the player’s agent.
The Gunners wanted to sign the striker over the summer, but only offered Kokorin a season-long loan deal, which he felt was disrespectful, according to the Moscow manager.
Andrey Kobelev admitted that a deal could have been done with Arsenal over the summer had they offered the 24-year-old striker a permanent deal.
However, a loan offer was deemed disrespectful and the club turned it down.
Despite Arsene Wenger launching a ‘disrespectful’ bid, Kokorin could complete a move to the Emirates Stadium in January.
His agent, Cyril Loginov, has confirmed that a transfer in January could still happen.
Agent Discusses Move
Loginov said: “Aleksandr, if all well informed, still has a chance [to move in the future] and not just to Arsenal.
“If Dinamo refused to give Aleksandr to Arsenal in the past transfer window, it does not mean that he can’t be where he wants [in the next window].
“We have a very good relationship with the coaching staff and the management of the football club Dynamo Moscow. We have, of course, been notified.”
