Arsenal are ready to make a £17million bid for Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne – if he impresses at this summer’s World Cup.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has added Insigne to his list of transfer targets as he looks to add to his attacking options during the forthcoming transfer window.
And Wenger has told his scouts to keep a close eye on the 23-year-old, who is likely to play a key role in the Italy squad that will face England, Uruguay and Costa Rica in Brazil.
If he impresses, Arsenal are set to table £17million bid for the player, with Wenger confident it should be enough to bring him to The Emirates.
Insigne has been watched by Gunners officials in action for Napoli this term, with Wenger being given positive reports on him
If he enjoys a strong summer tournament, it would be enough to convince the north London to stump the cash, with Napoli thought to be happy as they look to raise cash for other deals.
