Arsenal are keen on signing Porto striker Andre Silva as they prepare to lose key man Alexis Sanchez in the summer.
The Portugal international is one of the world’s hottest prospects at the minute after an impressive season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions thus far.
Juventus are also chasing the 21-year-old’s signature, who has also been touted to Real Madrid as a valuable target by fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, claim reports in Italy.
Arsenal want to spend big on attacking players in the summer transfer window a Sanchez’s contract saga still hangs over the Gunners and his future looks like it will be away from the Emirates Stadium.
Porto have put a £52million price-tag on Silva, but Arsenal would have the funds to pay it straight away if they let Sanchez go.
Otherwise, the Chile star would be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of next season so it seems likely that the Gunners will allow Sanchez to leave if a fair offer is put on the table this summer.
Silva has established himself as one of the best players currently in the Primeira Liga within the last couple of years but Arsenal have been rumoured with Celtic fan favourite Moussa Dembele and Torino target man Andrea Belotti as well.
