Arsenal ready to push for Pep Guardiola

Arsenal will look into pursuing Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola, at the end of the season after reportedly losing patience with Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman’s job has been under scrutiny for the past few years, and despite winning the FA Cup last season, doubts over the longest-serving manager are still there.

Wenger managed to end the club’s nine-year trophy drought by lifting the FA Cup in May after an incredible 3-2 victory over Hull City, but after failing to sign a centre-back and a defensive-midfielder over the Summer, The Gunners have struggled in the new season.

According to reports, officials at the Emirates Stadium are already looking into potential replacements for when Wenger does go, and Guardiola is at the top of their list after the Spaniard expressed his desire to manage in England one day.

Officials at Arsenal believe Guardiola will continue with the style of play they like at the Emirates and they are eager to push through a deal.

However, if the ex-Barca boss isn’t keen on the move, it’s thought that Everton’s Roberto Martinez is also on the list.
