Arsenal set sights on £80m Thomas Lemar

Arsenal sealed £52m deal for £200,000-a-week Alexandre Lacazette, now they want to seal another deal

Mirror Sport are reporting that Monaco have told Arsenal it will cost them a staggering £80m for Lemar as they do not want to sell him and that deal now seems increasingly unlikely unless a compromise can be reached

Reports are saying Wenger is still prepared to carry on spending to bring in the players needed.

“Time for a change at Arsenal!” – Redknapp

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is now apparently plotting moves for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, with Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez as back-up option.

That has opened the door for Wenger to go for Mahrez who is clearly keen on a switch to the Emirates with Leicester braced for an approach but no official bid has been made.

Wenger has already publicly admitted his admiration for Mahrez as Arsenal look to shake up the squad even after Lacazette’s arrival shatters the previous record set when they signed Mesut Ozil for £42.5m in 2013.
