Ozil is ‘comfortable in London’
Mesut Ozil has admitted he is ‘comfortable in London’- hinting that he may be ready to sign a new Arsenal contract.
Ozil’s current deal runs out in 2018, at the same time as Alexis Sanchez.
Last week the German playmaker said he would make the decision over his future depending on the future of manager Arsene Wenger.
But now he has suggested he wants to stay in the capital for the long-term.
“I’ve simply arrived in the Premier League since last season,” he told the German football federation website.
“I’ve remained injury-free for the most part and I feel very comfortable in London now as well.”
Ozil was speaking after he won the Germany Player of the Year award for 2016.
