Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, who is set to leave the Emirates at the end of the season, is eager to land a deal with Manchester City, according to a report Diario Gol.
The 28-year-old doesn’t seem at all likely to sign an extension after his current contract ends in June.
Manchester City appear favourites to hand him a deal in the summer, with Sanchez himself having conceded to Arsenal that he wants to leave the club for bigger challenges elsewhere.
The club could be looking at ways to replace Sergio Aguero, whose future appears in doubt. He has currently slid below Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order, and was benched for City’s 2-1 win over Manchester United last week.
Sanchez also rejected a massive £21million per year deal with Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune, making it clear that he intends to re-unite with his former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
