New team-mates delighted with arrival
Arsenal Football Club have announced the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech and his new team-mates are seemingly delighted with the deal.
The Gunners announced the deal this afternoon and the current players at the Emirates Stadium have already revealed their delight at the new arrival.
Arsenal Stars Welcome Cech
Wojciech Szczesny, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott and many more have all commented on the new signing already via Facebook and Twitter.
Szczesny, who will be competing with Cech for the number-one spot, had this to say on his official Facebook account: “Petr Cech, welcome to Arsenal FC! Delighted to have a chance to learn from one of the best GK’s in the world!”
Ramsey posted the following on his official account: “Wow what a signing! One of the best PL keepers ever! Welcome Petr Čech…”
Chamberlain sent out the following to his audience on Facebook: “Welcome to Arsenal Petr Čech.”
Bellerin, who will be hoping to play just in front of the 33-year-old, simply posted: “#WelcomeCech”
Whilst Walcott took a cheeky swipe at the new arrival by posting: “Scored my first ever arsenal goal against him – delighted to welcome @petrcech to @arsenal.”
Mesut Ozil joined his team-mates later on by tweeting the following: “From blue to red – welcome @PetrCech to the @Arsenal family! #YaGunnersYa #AFC #COYG #WelcomeCech”
Left-back, Kieran Gibbs, tweeted his delight at the signing: “Looking forward to playing with @PetrCech welcome to the team!!!”
With Szczesny hailing the arrival, current third-choice ‘keeper Damian Martinez also revealed his delight at the club signing such a top talent in between the sticks.
He tweeted: “Welcome to @Arsenal @PetrCech! I’m looking forward to working together & learning from all of your best players!”
Another defender happy to see Cech arrive in goal is Calum Chambers, he tweeted the following: “Quality signing for us!! Welcome to the team @PetrCech. Looking good in the new shirt #WelcomeCech.”
The players of Arsenal are clearly as delighted as the fans to welcome their new summer signing.
