Real Madrid winger has been monitored by Liverpool

Arsenal could make a £15million bid for Real Madrid outcast Denis Cheryshev, according to reports in Spain.

The Russian international has failed to break into the first-team at the Bernabeu, and spent last season out on loan with Villarreal, with a permanent move expected to take place this summer.

Rafael Benitez has already told the winger that he can leave Madrid on a permanent basis, and that has alerted both Arsenal and Liverpool from the Premier League.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Arsenal could launch a formal bid of around £15m despite having a wealth of options down the wing already.

Arsenal and Liverpool Interest

The Gunners have the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck who can all play down the wing, but that hasn’t stopped Arsene Wenger from showing interest in Cheryshev.

As for Liverpool, they are still considering whether to make a bid for the Russian and are still contemplating whether they need to sign someone to replace Raheem Sterling.

The England international joined Manchester City earlier in the summer for £49m, and although Brendan Rodgers has already signed seven players, Cheryshev was linked with being an eighth new arrival.
