Dynamo Moscow confirm Arsenal ‘disrespectful’ interest

Dynamo Moscow manager Andrey Kolebev has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in star-striker Aleksandr Kokorin during Transfer Deadline Day, but admitted their loan-offer was disrespectful.

The Gunners were desperately searching for an available striker after being turned down by Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, and on Deadline Day, they turned to Kokorin.

Arsene Wenger tried to land the 24-year-old on a season-long loan during Deadline Day, but the move failed to materialise and Arsenal ran out of time, leaving them with just Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott.

Speaking about the reported interest in the striker, Kolebev has admitted that the Premier League side were interested in signing Kokorin, but they disrespected him by only offering him a loan-deal.

Loan Offer Was Disrespectful

“There were substantial discussions on Kokorin, but it did not happen,” he said.

“We vetoed a loan.

“I believe that Alexander deserves more than a loan.”

According to reports, Arsenal could renew their interest in January.
