Arsenal Football Club have written and sent out letters to disgruntled fans revealing what goes on behind the scenes at the club and in the letter, they have admitted that they share the fans frustrations about the lack of transfer activity this summer.

One very passionate fan wrote a public letter to Arsenal Football Club questioning their motives and asking them why nothing had been done in the summer transfer window despite promising fans that money will be sent and big-name players will be arriving at the club.

So far, Arsenal have only captured Yaya Sanogo and could be close to re-signing Mathieu Flamini, but according to most fans, this is not enough for the club to challenge for silverware.

The board at the club have hit back at the critics and have published a letter that they have written and sent out to the fans.

Below you can read the letter in full.

‘Many thanks for your email. We understand and share your disappointment that Arsenal Football Club plc have not secured any acquisitions on players for the new season.

‘In terms of our dealings in the transfer market, we can assure you we have been working hard throughout the summer to bring in additional players and this will continue until the end of the transfer window.

‘We are clear that our ambition at Arsenal is to compete for and win trophies. This ambition is shared by our majority owner Stan Kroenke, the board, Arsene Wenger and everyone who works for the Club.

‘I take this opportunity to thank you for your continued and valued support of Arsenal Football Club plc.

‘On Behalf of Arsenal Football Club.’
