Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has confirmed that he expects Gabriel Paulista to sign for the club.
The Gunners, who have already signed Kyrstian Bielik this month, are now set to sign their second player in the window as the Villarreal centre-back looks set to fly over to London in order to complete a medical.
The fee agreed is around the £13million mark, and after watching his side beat Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup, Wenger confirmed that the deal could be announced before the next round draw takes place.
Wenger said: “He is a defender, can play on the flanks as well, tall, pacy and strong in the challenges. He has a good chance to adapt to English football.
“I see in him good potential and he can be a good addition to the squad. It could be done before the draw tomorrow.”
