Chilean ‘would go to war’ with Antonio Conte

Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost in their quest for Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal after he publicly commented on Antonio Conte.

The Italian is heavily expected to become the next permanent Chelsea boss, taking over from interim-manager Guus Hiddink at the end of the season, and he has already earmarked Vidal as a potential summer signing.

Conte wants to make a few additions to the Blues team, including Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus, Radja Nainggolan from AS Roma and Vidal from Bayern Munich.

Conte’s Relationship with Vidal

It’s believed Conte has a strong working relationship with the likes of Bonucci and Vidal, who he has worked with previously, and the Chilean has openly discussed the possibility of having a reunion with the Italian boss.

Conte, Bonucci and Vidal all worked together at Juventus and all had great success at the Serie A side, and when asked about his former-manager, Vidal admitted he’d go to war with him.

He said: “I have always said If I go to war I would take Conte with me. We will see what happens.”

If Chelsea do want to land the Munich man however, they will have to fork out at least £28million, the fee which Munich paid Juventus.
