Players don’t expect Frenchman to stick around

Aston Villa players expect manager Remi Garde to leave in the summer or be sacked by the club, according to reports.

The Frenchman took over at Villa Park after Tim Sherwood was sacked by the club, however, he’s failed to turn their fortunes around and they now look doomed for relegation to the Championship.

Garde has won just three games in charge at Villa, leaving them at the foot of the Premier League table and several points adrift from safety.

Their 3-1 defeat at home on Tuesday night to Everton was the latest nail in the coffin and according to reports in today’s papers, the players don’t expect to have Garde at the club come next season.

Garde On The Brink

The 49-year-old has already admitted that it’s a stressful job and has admitted he’s having sleepless nights due to the poor form and the current situation they are in.

Villa have sustained just 16 points this season, and with 10-games remaining they are almost certain to be relegated.

Despite the club’s chief execuctive, Tom Fox, confirming that the club will stick by Garde no matter what happens this season, the players at the club don’t think the Frenchman will stick around come the summer.
