Antoine Griezmann and Koko to be offered lucrative contracts

Atletico Madrid are set to offer star duo, Antoine Griezmann and Koke, new deals at the club in order to try and fend off interest from Premier League champions Chelsea.

The duo have been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, and Jose Mourinho has highlighted them both as his man targets for the Summer.

Previous Deals

Chelsea raided Atletico last year and managed to sign Filipe Luis and Diego Costa, before failing in their attempts to sign Koke and Diego Godin.

However, The Blues are ready to go back to Atletico and try and lure their star duo away from the club this year.

Atletico and Chelsea have a good working relationship due to the previous deals made, especially the three-year loan deal for Thibaut Courtois, however, the Spanish side are growing frustrated with the English side trying to lure all their players away.

Lucrative Contracts Offered

According to reports this morning, Atletico are set to offer the star duo new deals in order to prevent any move to Chelsea.

It’s believed the club will insert ÂŁ100million release clauses in BOTH player’s contracts in hope that it will end Mourinho’s interest.

Move Away Wanted?

The bad news for Atletico is that Griezmann has already hinted that he’d be keen on a move to Chelsea, whilst Koke wouldn’t be interested in signing a new deal at the club.

Super Agent Involved

Further worrying news for Diego Simeone is that Chelsea are now getting Jorge Menges on the transfer saga in the hope that the super-agent can lure Griezmann to England.

Mendes is the representative of Mourinho and Costa of Chelsea, but has massive influence in transfers across Europe.
