Striker was linked with North London duo

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ended any speculation that he may be joining either Arsenal or Tottenham by signing a new deal with Borussia Dortmund.

The Gabonese has extended his stay at the Westfalentadion until 2020, which will be a blow to the two North London sides.

The striker netted 26 times in all competitions last season and there was much speculation surrounding a potential move away from Germany but Aubameyang insists he was never going to leave.

Contract Statement

“I’m absolutely delighted that the next years of my career will be spent at Borussia Dortmund” said Aubameyang, who joined the club back in 2013.

“I feel very happy at the club, in this team and in this city. BVB has become like a second home to me.

“Every part of me wants to be here and I have never wanted to leave.”

Interest in Striker

The forward has been targeted by both Arsenal and Tottenham, who hoped a ÂŁ28m bid would be enough to lure him to the Premier League.

Meanwhile PSG had also had their eye on Aubameyang as a potential replacement to the reportedly unsettled Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
