The striker has been linked with a move to England over the last couple of months

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed he is happy to stay at Borussia Dortmund despite interest from elsewhere.

Arsenal and Man United have both been keeping tabs on the striker who has had a superb season for his current club in the Bundesliga. He has scored 35 goals in 40 games for the club – an unbelievable record – and has caught the eye of several clubs across Europe because of it.

Many of the potential suitors are willing to pay Dortmund mega money to take him off their hands but reports today have claimed that the 26-year old might not be on the move yet as he is happy at his current club in Germany.

Interested in Real Madrid move one day

The Gabon international said: “Dortmund is a city which is totally crazy about football.

“In the last years, we have the highest average attendance in Europe. I’ve never made a secret of [the fact] I would someday like to play for Real Madrid, but I also have not extended my contract at BVB until 2020 without a reason.

“I feel very good here.”

It does look like he could be staying at Dortmund for the foreseeable future then, which could be a blow to the likes of Arsenal and United who were eager to bring him to England.

However, the admittance that he would one day like to play for Real Madrid will be good news for fans of the club because if they did decide to move for him, the player could find it hard to say no to them.

For the time being though – with his contract running until 2020 and the news that he is happy in Germany – it looks like he might not be going anywhere.
