Barca officials held secret scouting mission midweek
FC Barcelona are confident they can lure Aaron Ramsey away from Arsenal over the summer, according to reports.
The Spanish giants are able to complete transfers once again after serving their ban, and it looks like Ramsey is going to be one of their main targets at the end of the season.
Ramsey has been in fine-form for the Gunners, and burst onto Barca‘s radar after his stand-out campaign two years ago.
The Welshman has since been moved around a bit by Arsene Wenger, who’s used him as a winger as well as a central midfielder, but that could be key to his future.
Ramsey has made it clear he wants to play in the centre, and that’s what Barca are prepared to offer him as Andres Iniesta comes to the end of his career.
Barca Scouting Ramsey
Barca sent scouts to Anfield on Wednesday to watch Liverpool play Arsenal, and it was a game where Ramsey netted an important equaliser to make it 1-1.
According to a source close to Ramsey, he is excited at the thought of playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, but is only focusing on Arsenal until the summer.
The midfielder will then focus on Wales in the European Champonships before making a decision regarding his future.
