Barcelona could let Fabregas leave

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be on his way out the club this summer, with Manchester United set to renew their interest.

The Red Devils will reportedly give their new manager a transfer kitty of up to ÂŁ200million this summer, follow the sacking of David Moyes after less than a season in charge. Fabregas was just one name on a long list of failed signings last summer at United, and the club’s hopes of making another move seemed to be dented when The Catalans were hit with a heavy transfer ban.

However, that ban has now been suspended and now United believe they have a good chance of bringing the ex-Arsenal star to Old Trafford this summer.

“They wanted him and thought they could get him last year,” said Spanish football expert Graham Hunter, “but Barcelona are more open to the idea of selling now than they were last summer.

“The interest from Manchester United was concrete last season and it has remained concrete.

“There has to be a chance for them to sign him now that Barcelona have the power to buy again after the FIFA ban has been suspended.”
