Bavarian Giants eyeing Christian Pulisic as replacement for Robbery?

Borussia Dortmund’s star winger has been linked with a big money move away

The American teen sensation has caught the eye of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool and several other clubs after lighting up the Bundesliga.

According to Sport Bild, Bayern could be one of the clubs ready to make a huge bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic. Reports say that Bayern may be competing with the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool for the talented American, who has established himself over the past two years as one of the most dangerous wingers in the Bundesliga.

Pulisic fits the mold of a next-generation replacement for the historic, but aging, wing combination of Frank Ribery and Arjen  Robben famously known as ROBBERY. But the duo are without a contract for next season.

Bayern may have an uphill battle to secure his signature, but they have successfully raided their league rivals on various occasions. Especially Dortmund, who have been raided a lot in recent years with the likes of Robert Lewandoski, Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels heading to the Allianz Arena club and breaking the hearts of BVB fans.

Pulisic, who grew up as a Premier League and specifically a Manchester United fan said:

“when I was little I wanted to play in the Premier League, but now that I’m in the Bundesliga I’m not planning on a move because that’s what I want to do. I’m really happy there and I’m just kind of going with the flow and I’m happy with it.”

Bayern legend Lothar Matthäus readily endorsed Pulisic as a perfect fit to wear Bayern red in the near future.
