Mix-up on website suggests possible Vardy transfer
A lot of excitement surrounded Jamie Vardy’s goal for England against Wales this afternoon.
It was the goal that brought the 3 Lions level after going behind to a Gareth Bale free-kick, and everyone was pretty happy about it.
While Daniel Sturridge will be the man who earns most plaudits for his injury-time goal, Vardy has also been celebrated by many.
Jamie Vardy- the Leicester player…isn’t that right BBC Sport? Potentially not. With all the recently stories in the press, either someone at the BBC got a little confused this afternoon, or knows something that we don’t.
The website’s live minute-by-minute updates made the unfortunate error as they gave news of Vardy’s 56th-minute equaliser earlier.
It was conviently edited out minutes later. For now he’s still a Leicester player, but maybe this is a hint about his possible location come the end of the summer.
