David Beckham has tipped former club Paris Saint Germain to dispose of Chelsea in the quarter finals of the Champions League. The retired England legend spent the last 6 months of his career in the French capital, and believes that players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will inspire the Ligue 1 champions to progress to the semi’s.
“Every time someone mentions PSG to me, I smile, because I spent 6 great months there,” said Beckham, “it’s such a great club.”
“They’ve got the best around, Thiago Silva, for instance, is the best defender in the world. Zlatan is a real character as well. This year I think they’ll do really well in the Champions League. They’re coming up against a good Chelsea team, with Jose Mourinho as manager he takes them to a different level, but I think PSG have a real chance.”
