The new Real Madrid manager is planning a double swoop for the Chelsea pair

Diego Costa and Eden Hazard are on Rafael Benitez’s shopping list, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

Costa, 26, has recently confirmed he is happy playing in the Premier League and is not seeking a move back to Spain.

The Spanish international spent four years playing for various teams in Spain, including the likes of Atletico Madrid before completing a £32million move to the Stamford Bridge side.

Meanwhile, Hazard has just signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal with the Champions of England and doesn’t appear to be leaving Chelsea anytime soon.

Hazard was voted PFA Player of the Year in a season where he scored 14 times and won two trophies.

Mourinho’s verdict

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is quite confident none of his big players will be leaving Chelsea this summer and believes there isn’t a shred of truth in the reports.

“I don’t see our team losing players. I don’t see our team losing our qualities, especially our mental, emotional approach to matches, to the season, to the competition” said Mourinho.

Mourinho who managed at Real before returning to Chelsea for his second spell believes it would be difficult to improve the squad he has.
