Striker linked with big money Arsenal move
Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez has confrimed that striker Karim Benzema will remain with the club this summer, amid rumoured interest from Arsenal.
The French international forward has been linked with a move to the Emirates since the opening of the summer transfer window, with Arsene Wenger keen to add more firepower to his front-line in order for a tilt at the title next season.
Striker Options at Arsenal
With Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck the only out-and-out strikers at the club following Chuba Akpom‘s loan move to Hull City and Wenger‘s tendency to play Theo Walcott in a wide position, rumours were rife that he was after Benzema.
However, new Madrid boss Benitez was confident that the former Lyon striker will be at the Bernabeu come the end of the transfer window.

”He will stay with us. I can’t see any reason why he would leave.
”We are very happy with him.”
Wenger was also coy about his chances of signing Benzema when asked after Sunday’s 1-0 Community Shield triumph over Chelsea, by saying there’s not much chance they’ll be able to prize him away from La Liga.
