Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has dropped a hint that he will be handed his first start for the club,

The Belgian took to Instagram to reveal that his first-team ‘dream’ is about to become a reality.

Antonio Conte name-dropped Musonda, and teammate Kenedy, in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Blues’ Carabao Cup clash with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

The Italian feels the Chelsea v Nottingham Forest EFL match ‘can be a good chance’ for the duo to play, and Musonda seems to have confirmed the news that he will make his first start for the club, thanking everyone that made it possible.

‘From five years to 24 hours… @ChelseaFC #Unleash,’ he wrote on Instagram, along with the ‘eyes’ emoji and a picture of himself in a Chelsea shirt.

He continued: ‘Thanks to everyone at the academy, who had a part in developing me, from the head of youth to all the coaches, and the medical department.

‘To achieve one of my biggest dreams wouldn’t be possible without you. I’ve been lucky to have had such training but more importantly a better education here. Thank you!’
