Palace and Everton have agreed a fee for the winger

Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie is travelling to Everton on Sunday, for a medical, after the London club agreed a £30 million fee with Everton.

The 27-year-old has been sought after for some time, with local rivals Liverpool also having previously been interested in the Palace star, when he first arrived on the scene in the Premier League three years ago.

However, Bolasie finally appears to be on his way out of Palace, after four years, and will link up with big-spending Everton who are prepared to smash their transfer record to sign him from the south London club.

New boss Ronald Koeman is seeking more “aggressive” players, as he looks to put together a new-look side that, in the long-term, is looking to play Champions League football, with one or two further additions, on top of Bolasie, still to be made.

New billionaire shareholder Farhad Moshiri has given the Toffees a lease of life and, after sacking Roberto Martinez, their ambitions are high.

Bolasie would smash the £28 million paid to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku in 2014, if all add-ons are eventually paid.

The winger has been capped 27 times by DR Congo, and made 143 appearances during his time at Selhurst Park, scoring 13 goals.

While Bolasie’s Palace lost 1-0 at home to West Brom on Saturday, Everton drew at home to last season’s title challengers Tottenham.
