World’s fastest man makes outrageous claim

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt wants to join Manchester United when he quits Athletics, and says he will be just as good as Wayne Rooney if he does.

Bolt is set to quit athletics this year and genuinely does has his eyes set on a move to the Premier League.

He has already lined up a week’s training with German team Borussia Dortmund, but as a childhood United fan, dreams of moving to Old Trafford.

Even though he admits it’s too late for him (at 30 years old) to become the world’s best player, he still believes he could be a better player than Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.

“I’m going to get a chance to train at Dortmund which is good.

“I think I’m going to go there for a week and just to train and feel it out.

“I’ve had people suggest different teams or ways we could get into football so we’ve been looking into those things but were not sure what’s going on yet.

“But at any level, I just want to see if I’d be any good, because I play football all the time with my friends and I think I’m at a good level.

“If I train and put some good work in I think I could be pretty good.

“I’m not gonna say I’m going to be the best footballer in the world. But I’d be at a good level, I’d say. Maybe Wayne Rooney level.”
