Betting companies have suspended betting on the likelihood of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte being sacked after another humiliating defeat after losing to Watford 4-1.

Chelsea were thrashed by Watford in less than a week after losing to Bournemouth at home 3-0.

The Blues were dismal and had little attacking threat throughout the match besides Eden Hazard, and defensively were shocking.

And now, betting companies have suspended betting on the likelihood of Conte being sacked.

Paddy Power have suspended betting on the chances of Conte being sacked tomorrow. The under-fire manager called for his owner’s backing before the match at which there was none. And now, few expect Conte to retain his job after a second embarrassing defeat in a row.

Conte said after the game: “I have a great disappointment, our performance was very bad. We started poorly without personality, with the fear. We are not used to playing this way. For sure I have to take the responsibility as maybe I made the wrong decision with the starting XI.”

And asked about his job security Conte replied: “I am not worried about my job. I work every day and give 100%. I am not worried. Every day and every press conference I am asked, but no. Tomorrow is another day.

“Do you think a club can sack a coach is there is not the backing of the players? You think the players have this power? This is wrong. When I was a player, never never I spoke about a coach with my club.”

TV pundit Jamie Carragher said after the game:

“Conte wanted the owner to back him but that’s never going to happen because the owner hasn’t spoken in 15 years.

“It certainly isn’t going to happen on the back of tonight. It was a shambles.”
