Marco Reus has been linked with a move to the Premier League duo in recent weeks, with German giants Bayern Munich also said to be keen on his signature.
But Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said the club are working to tie the 25-year-old down to a long-term contract.
‘We have said many times this summer that Reus will not leave,’ he told Kicker. ‘Marco will play with us next season.
‘There is no possibility that he will play elsewhere. We will try to tie him to our club for longer and we are proceeding with peace of mind that he will renew his deal.’
