Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has blasted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for missing ‘important team meeting’ amid transfer links to Arsenal.

The top Premier League clubs are on alert as Dortmund chiefs are fed up with Aubameyang’s repeated ill discipline and are willing to cut ties with him.

Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for £53m in recent days and it’s believed his poor behaviour of late is due to the impending bid from Arsenal.

The Gabon striker was left out of head coach Peter Stoger’s side in the recent game against Wolfsburg with Stoger claiming Aubameyang was punished due to missing ‘a very important team meeting’.

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for the 28-year-old in order to replace the outgoing Alexis Sanchez who is on the cusp of a move to Manchester United.

Dortmund Sporting director Michael Zorc, however, is furious with Aubameyang for his repeated bad behaviour after missing a game earlier this season due to similar reasons.

Zorc said: “At some point you can’t tolerate it anymore. I don’t know what’s going on inside his head. We had a very contentious discussion today. We’re not used to this behaviour from him.”

“What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club. It is clear: It cannot go on like this. I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore.

Despite his poor behaviour, Aubameyang has scored 21 goals in 23 games for Dortmund this season and is considered one of Europe’s deadliest strikers.

Chelsea have also been linked with the striker in the past and could still potentially go for him.
