Two clubs agree terms on a season-long loan

Liverpool have reached an agreement with AC Milan which will see Mario Balotelli join the Serie A side on a season-long loan.

The Italian left the San Siro last summer after The Reds agreed to pay ÂŁ16million to sign him, but just one year and two goals later, the controversial striker is set to re-join his former club on loan.

Done Deal

The two clubs have been in negotiations over the past few days and it was confirmed by a Milan chief that talks were ongoing, but it has now been revealed that a deal is in place and the striker will now undergo a medical in Italy ahead of the proposed switch.

The deal is a loan-move, but it’s with a view to making it permanent this time next year.

It’s not yet understood who will be paying Balotelli‘s wages during the loan-spell, but Milan were hopeful that both clubs would pay 50% each.

Balotelli leaving means Liverpool just have Fabio Borini, Lucas Leiva and Jose Enrique left at the club who are on the transfer list.
