Chelsea defender to spend season at Hornets
Watford Football Club have announced the loan signing of Nathan Ake from Chelsea.
The defender will spend the 2015/2016 campaign at Vicarage Road in order to play regular first-team football in the Premier League, something he wasn’t getting at Stamford Bridge.
Ake has been on the cusp of the first-team at Chelsea for the past few seasons, but as of yet, he’s failed to cement a regular spot in Jose Mourinho‘s side.
Competition at Chelsea
John Terry and Gary Cahill‘s partnership has kept the youngster out of the side, and Kurt Zouma arriving in recent years hasn’t helped either.
The 20-year-old spent time at Reading last season in the Championship, but will be hoping the loan move to Watford will give him valuable first-team experience in the top divison.
