Former-boss eyeing up England job

Brendan Rodgers will reject any approach from Swansea City regarding the managerial position as he has his heart set on the England job.

Rodgers has been out of work since earlier this season, when Liverpool decided to sack him following a 1-1 draw in the Merseyside Derby against Everton.

Officials at Anfield had made their decision prior to the derby due to the poor run of form, and the Northern Irishman was replaced by Jurgen Klopp.

Following Garry Monk‘s dismissal yesterday, Rodgers has been linked with a return to the Liberty Stadium, following his initial successful spell in Wales, guiding them to promotion to the Premier League.

Rodgers Eyes England Role

However, Rodgers will reject any job offer from the Swans as he sets his sights on the England job.

According to reports, the manager will reject any approach from any club before the Euros as he hopes to take over from Roy Hodgson following the competition in France.

Other names like David Moyes, Gus Poyet and Dennis Bergkamp have been linked with the Liberty top-job, but it won’t be a return for Rodgers.
