According to Marca, former Arsenal and Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas has refused to let fortune get ahead of his feelings as he turns down an offer of approximately ÂŁ30m-a-season from China.

Reports have stated that big clubs in Italy, AC Milan and Roma, have also shown an interest in the Spaniard’s services. However, it is highly likely that the midfield maestro will stay put for the time being.

From the moment Conte arrived on the scene, Fabregas has been struggling to impress.  This may be why his future at Stamford Bridge is currently being questioned.

The 29-year-old has started just two league games this season, due to Kante and Matic taking the reins in the 3-4-3 outfit. But he has contributed towards the two recent wins over League favourites Manchester City and an impressive West Brom.

The Chinese Super League has already expressed its riches in the previous transfer window. They attained the likes of Ramires, Jackson Martinez and Alex Teixeira for £25m, £31m and £38.4m respectively. Cesc Fabregas would add to this list of excessive spending.

Fabregas, now at 29, believes his still has the quality to perform in the big leagues. Marca claims he also stated that it is too soon to discuss transferring to a minor league.

Is Fabregas still good enough for the Premier League?
