The Serie A club might attempt to sign Nathanial Chalobah permanently

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has expressed a desire to keep the England Under-21 international in Italy.

A move on deadline day means the 20-year-old will spend this season with the Naples club and if he impresses, he could be rewarded with a permanent move, says De Laurentiis.

The Blues, aware of Chalobah’s potential, did opt against including a clause in the contract allowing the Stadio San Paolo club to make his move permanent after his loan expires.

However, De Laurentiis has admitted if Chalobah makes an impact this season then they will do everything in their power to sign him.

“Chelsea didn’t give us the option to buy him. But should he prove to be an important player during the season we will go on the offensive to keep him” said De Laurentiis.

Could Pogba move in January?

According to football agent Mesrun Izzet, the Blues might reignite their interest in the Juventus midfielder, during the next transfer window.

Paul Pogba, widely regarded as one of the world’s top midfielders, had been the subject of intense speculation all summer.

The former Manchester United star was a target for Barcelona, who had a reported bid of 60million euros rejected, but Chelsea were rumoured to have made a late approach.

These intentions appeared to be confirmed by the Stamford Bridge club’s refusal to sell John Obi Mikel to Besitkas, seemingly because they failed to bring in a replacement.
